Dr. Levine’s Advanced Surgical Teams

Dr. Levine builds expert surgical teams with advanced skill in natural breast reconstruction.

Why advanced surgical teams matter

Working with an advanced surgical team for sophisticated procedures is crucial because their collective expertise and cutting-edge techniques significantly impact patient outcomes. A skilled and experienced team can navigate complexities, minimize risks, and ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care, ultimately leading to more successful and effective medical interventions.

About Dr. Levine’s Surgical Teams

As one of the first surgeons to perform perforator flap breast reconstruction surgery in Manhattan, Dr. Levine trained many of the the first wave of DIEP surgeons in the tri-state area, many who continue to operate with Dr. Levine as his assisting microsurgeon.

Dr. Levine personally directs the specialized training of the surgical teams in each of his dedicated practice centers throughout New York and the tri-state area.

Ensuring Patients Recovery Quickly

Dr. Levine always uses a second expert microsurgeon when performing perforator flap breast reconstruction in a team approach.

These procedures are highly complicated in terms of the technical ability required to do them safely, consistently, and effectively.

In addition, Dr. Levine has found that having highly skilled surgeons, nurses and OR techs specifically trained in perforator flap breast reconstruction ensures a higher level of safety and efficiency. These procedures typically take 4 to 6 hours in reconstructing two breasts which is a very short time for such a long operation.

This greater efficiency ensures the patients recover quickly and with as few problems and complications as possible.
